What began as sort of a “what if?” moment, the Concert in the Desert was created by Norm Weitzman to promote his favorite band: Switchback.  With 250 feet of electrical cord, the concert was set up in an open stretch of desert behind the Vu, in Scottsdale, Arizona.  A house concert literally in nature, fans were treated to Switchback playing originals and covers while looking at the sun setting on the McDowell mountains.  With the unfortunate development of the original site on the drawing board, a new location has been selected for this year, through the generosity and financial support of the Grayhawk Residential Community.  

Bring a lawn chair and enjoy what has become a social event for Snowbirds and locals in the greater Scottsdale area!   A suggested donation of $20 will help defray additional expenses for this event.
